living with :: Floy

Floy is sort of like your best friend. He’s special, you know that, but you can be yourself around him.  He’s fun and always makes you smile, but you know you have nothing to prove to him.  It’s just that certain ease of pleasure that he brings to any space that we wanted to show off today.

Paired with comfortable favorites, Floy comes to life.  A silk scarf with a cloud scene, the perfect hat.  A print with brilliant gems and a shiny round vase for wildflowers.  Finish it off with – what else? – a beautiful blanket (Floy is, after all, a blanket chest).  Floy testifies that comfy can be cool.

There is no one like Coralia.  Her classic, straight-forward form lends itself well to fiercely fresh modern colors and styling.  This armoire is all at once fanciful and refined. Since she is such a singular stunner, we knew we had to pair her with pieces that walk that same line of time-honored and brand-new.

Enter this dress, with smart tailoring but a sassy color.  And the bag – a tapestry tote with leather details, but in colors and shapes that wow.  Hang a portrait with a sense of humor nearby and stow a blanket with heaps of class and personality.  Coralia will feel right at home.

Meet “Ivella”……man oh man isn’t she hot to trot with her dark and dusky finish? This pretty little number belongs to my client Ashley who inherited it from her grandmother. This armoire has always been loved, but there was not a plan for her until now!
“Ivella” will no longer be wasting away in storage….but instead she will be strutting her stuff in her newly remodeled and fabulous home!
Amen….and Amen.

Well….here is the table and chairs job that I completed last week! I absolutely love them and want  to steal this set for my very own my eat in kitchen area! The colors are so beautiful and soft together!  The colors are by Sherwin Williams :Table- SW 7019 Gauntlet Gray and Chairs- SW 6485  Raindrop.
I have so enjoyed partnering with Lindsay Carmody of Lindsay Carmody Interiors  and Trey Sherman of Greystone Antiques on this job. I hope we can collaborate on many more projects to come. These two peeps are fantastic I tell you!
Today the table and chairs are headed out of the studio to get the final coatings of polyurethane applied with the sprayer and then they are headed to their new home! Woot!
{the lighting in the studio is a little moody today….so enjoy the mood of this fashion shoot! It is shadowy and edgy…..go with it!}

 Well….I must apologize for the late post today! Although the thought did cross my mind as I was writing this post….”hmmmm….maybe  I should start a new trend in blogging….and post at the end of every day”…..and that could be my great excuse for today’s late post?! No? {wink!}
…..these gorgeous chairs are part of a dining room table and chairs custom job that I am working on right now for a local designer and her client. {will tell you more about them later!} I am hoping to have all of the chairs and the table finished by the end of the week so I can photograph them for you all and show you on Monday! I love the colors that were picked for this job and will reveal those as well!
…hope today has been a goody!
