in the works;)

This little lovely is about halfway through ….. tomorrow it will be sanded, drawers papered, knobs and a proper finish!! Hot off the presses for Friday and Saturday!! I also have another piece in the wings ready to be viewed soon! This is called “olive green” and is left over from a commission piece that I did a few months back ….. I’m thinking it’s yummy! xoxo

HEy! I was wondering what kind of sealant/finishing product you use? I am looking to paint over an old cabinet my dad made and it’s all inspired by you! I even showed my husband your site so I could convince him painting was a good idea (he’s big on stained/natural wood). He loved all your work!

I absolutely love the colour! (It reminds me of my old school uniform, yes it was that colour!)
I can’t wait to see what kind of knobs you put on there. I especially love the circular detail on the top drawer, very unexpected.

hey Steph!! CONGRATS on converting the hubby to the dark side!! Hee Hee:) I use three different sealing products: wax, water based poly, and stain. It just depends on what you are looking for, the wax is a very “dull” (but good) finish, the poly adds the most protection and sheen ( I like to use a matte poly) and the stain adds sheen and depth , like a little aging effect. So ……. whichever of those works on your piece!! Send me photos when you’re done! xoxo
