It has been a great week here at knack, and I hope it has been the same for all of you my friends!! Y’all have an AWESOME weekend now ya hear!!

** I want to send a special thank you to grace from design sponge for the feature on D*s yesterday!! You are the best! xo

I absolutely love your pieces. Although I know you probably won’t divulge your trade secrets, could you by chance tell us how you do these? I love the top of this piece (and how you line the drawers of things), but how do you keep it from getting messed up? What kinds of paint do you use (Latex I’m guessing for the non-solid wood pieces?)…
I just love your stuff and live in Florida, so there is no way I can come buy some right now!!

    babgrishell,

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for saying such nice things about my pieces! xo

I don’t divulge all my trade secrets because there are so many creative people in this world, I gotta hold on to what little bit of an edge that I can!:)

I will tell you that I only paint solid wood pieces, some may be a wood laminate, but I have found that particle board and real slick surfaces are not good candidates for painting.

I do use latex paint for most of my finishes with an occasional semigloss mixed in for good measure!:)
